Who they are and what they do:
Redwood Credit Union (RCU) delivers full-service banking and financial services to anyone who lives or works in the North Bay, Lake County, or San Francisco. As a financial cooperative, RCU is focused on people, not profit, which means everyone who banks with RCU is a Member and owner of the credit union. RCU offers free checking, savings accounts and certificates, auto and home loans, credit cards, free online and mobile banking, business banking, commercial and SBA lending, investment and wealth management services, plus insurance and discount auto sales through their wholly-owned subsidiary. With a mission to passionately serve the best interests of its Members, team members, and communities, RCU is proud to call Lake County home.

By the numbers:

Founded in 1950 by 7 employees of the County of Sonoma, RCU now employs more than 600 people with 21 Northern California locations. The Credit Union has more than $7 billion in assets and serves more than 430,000 Members in the North Bay and San Francisco. Redwood Credit Union is the 40th largest credit union in the nation (out of 4,900) and 8th largest in California. RCU has been named to North Bay Business Journal’s Best Places to Work for 17 consecutive years.

Why Lake County?
To better accommodate RCU’s growing membership in Lake County, in 2020 RCU opened a new branch in Lower Lake at 16095 Main Street, at the corner of Highway 53 and Highway 29. RCU supports many local nonprofits and community groups including Lake Family Resource, Hope Rising and many other organizations.

Why the Chamber?
The Clearlake Chamber of Commerce and Redwood Credit Union share the same passion for fostering partnerships with local businesses to build a strong, supportive community. We deeply value our partnership in making Lake County a wonderful place to work and live.
