Fishing for large fish such as catfish is an experience in itself. Fishing both day or night, out on the lake, channel cats put up a fight that you may not expect. Recently, the Clear Lake Chamber learned of a record catfish catch on Clear Lake in September 2024. We have talked with several confirming the support of this catch. Herb Cornwell of Whisker Fishing Guide reports this catch at 37.4 pounds.
