Raised in Clearlake Oaks by civic minded parents; his father, Ed Perdock and mother, Rozann Russell-Cheek who served their communities for most of their lives which he admired and learned from. Russ was part of BSA Troop 46, where he progressed to the rank of Eagle Scout. As a teen, Russ moved to Clearlake Highlands and was an active student/athlete at Lower Lake High School. Upon graduation he attend and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. After graduation from a California POST Academy he joined the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and proudly served the many communities of Lake County for over 24 years.

One of his greatest joys is spending time with his amazing wife Bobbi and being a part of a growing family. Father to his children and grandfather to beautiful grandchildren he wanted more for them. In his core he knows how important it is to get involved, and he has served as a member of the Clearlake City Council for two terms. During that time it has been his vision to see Clearlake and Lake County become better communities to live and visit.

Russ became a volunteer member of the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce, joining with other capable leaders to improve the economic viability of the area while supporting the local business communities within Lake County.
